Traditional pedagogy is currently evolving from "Sage on the Stage" (instructor-centered) to "Guide on the Side" (student-centered activities), but in the AI age, we need a third evolution: Facilitative Teaching. By intentionally designing learning experiences with facilitation in mind, learners cultivate critical human skills while applying content in relevant contexts and scenarios. Facilitative Teaching is the intentional design of learning experiences that cultivate the human skills such as collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
